What does 1:1 mentoring mean?

It means that during your lessons there will be only you and your mentor without any other participants.

When do I get the learning materias and should I pay additionaly for them?

As soon as you make a decision on your development path in Academy and fulfill all the formalities, you receieve a permament access to all neccessary tasks and materials on github. The price for the materials is included in the price of mentoring.

When can I start?

You can start as soon as you decide to join us unless there is no any vacant place. In this case, you can join the waiting list.

How often can I contact my mentor?

Your mentor is always available for you on Discord. In order to contact him you can book a lesson or write him on your private chat. You can choose the lesson's duration according to your needs (15 min, 30 min or 60 min). Usually lesson involves code review of your ready code. During cr you can ask any questions to clear up your doubts. Additionally to code reviews, whenever you encounter an obstacle, you can ask your mentor for a hint or a piece of advice on your private dialog on Discord.

What does "no bullshit" means in case of your Academy?

It means that we are all grown-ups and you are not in school anymore, where you had to repeat after the teacher mindlessly. In the Academy noone will hand you a solution on a plate. Hints, direction, constructive feedback? You are welcome! But don't expact that we will solve the problems or tasks for you. You are the one who needs to learn the lesson to succeed in the future

If I don't like the choses learing path, can I change it?

Sure, it's okay to realize that you want to develop in different direction. The switching prcedure depends on mentor's availability and moment in which you decided to switch. We assign a mentor to you according to the chosen path. Yet, if you do not feel like it was a right choice, we do have a list of procedures to make you feel comfortable :)

Should I wait for the 15th day of the month to start?

No, you don't have to wait for the 15th day of the month. You can start when you and your mentor are ready :)

When can I find my first job?

It depends on how quickly you absorb knowledge. On average, students, who had no experience with programming, find their first job after 1 year of tuition. There is also an opportunity to work for our business partners.

Can I share the tasks I complete on my github?

No, you can't share your solutions until the further parts of your learning path. Your mentor will tell you more on this topic :)

Who is going to contact me after filling in the contact form?

You will be contacted by our expert, who will clarify your doubts and answer your questions. During the call he will verify your needs and which mentor is most propreate for you :)

How long does the mentoring program lasts?

There is no one particular answer. It all depends on the level of your proficiency, your learning speed and your motivations. In most cases it can take you from 6 to 12 month if you are lucky, but mentally prepare yourself for at least 1.5 years of learning. Let it be a pleasant surprise if you graduate earlier 😄

I have quite a lot of time for learning, how often during a week can I contact my mentor?

You can contact your mentor as often as you need, especially when you encounter a major problem. However, keep in mind that you cannot ask him any tiny detail which you can figure out yourself. In practice, you will have somewhere around 1-2 cr a week and some written contact on your private discord channel during a week. If there is a need, mentor may ask you to meet him more often or more rarely. As for cr you maybe limited by time slots when the mentor is available during a day but you can write your mentor 23/7 and he will answer as soon as possible 😀

I'm complitely a beginner and I might need more of mentor's time and attention. Will you charge me more for more frequent contact?

No, you pay your monthly tuition as a subscription without any addtitional fees. It's easier to explain our the system by comparing it to "Netflix" - you pay every month but it depends on you how often you use it.

Do you help with getting a first job?

If by the end of learning program, your programming skills are on a satisfactory level we can ofer you a fully paid job at our business partner. If after a few months you are not satisfied with the provided job, we'll try to search for another place for you :)

Will mentor have a time for me?

In addition to what we mentioned earlier, we can guarantee that every week your mentor will find time for you. So don't be afraid that you will have to wait for several weeks for an answer form mentor. It never happens at the Academy.

How much time can I spend with mentor? Am I meant to learn during the day time?

You can book a meeting for a time period wich suits your needs the most (15 min, 30 min or 60 min). We understand that you can have other things in life, that is why to answer your needs the latest hour for which you can book a meeting is 11 pm 😄

Can I take breaks?

Yes, you're paying a tuition for an upcoming month. If you need a break, please inform us at least two weeks before next payment. There is a break fee in the amount of 63 €/month for reserving a place at your mentor's team and remaining your progress. Lack of payment for a break or lack of contact for longer period of time implies that you resign from the Academy :)

I'm not sure what level do I have, will you check it somehow?

Yes, after you oficially join the Academy, before starting the main tasks, your mentor will talk with you about your previous experience and provide you with exam tasks.The results of this exam will show wich level is more suitable for you 😊

Does the price include all the materials and tasks?

Yes, after purchasing you’ll receive a link on your mail opening an access to our learning materials.

Can I contact you if I face an obstacle?

Sure, if you purchased the option with discord community, anytime you are stuck - feel free to ask on the channel “community-helpers.

What if I don’t like the materials?

We don’t offer a money back policy simply because you won’t need this. However, feel free to contact us via email contact@localhost-group.com if you might not like the materials provided :)

What can I do after completing the full kit?

You will gain a solid foundation to continue your development as a programmer. You will understand which direction and technology is more appropriate for you. After completing all the materials you will have enough knowledge to start preparing your own unique projects for CV

What technologies covers the ultimate programmers kit?

You will learn solid fundamentals of HTML, CSS, JS + TS. You will understand the key concepts of programming. You will cover such topics as: Functional and object-oriented programming principles, SOLID principles, typescript, node.js basics, DOM management using TS, unit and integration testing.You will build your first project by learning what the project lifecycle looks like and solve your first major business problem.

Will I be able to apply for a job after completing your tasks?

Not yet, these materials are good for the beginners or those seeking some practice. They are also good for those, who want to feel the gap in their knowledge and understand complicated concepts without memorizing theory.
